Leading sales enablement software company brings 60 high tech jobs to the Bay State
Lowell, MA, February 2, 2009 – Kadient, the leading provider of on-demand sales enablement applications, announced today that the company has moved its Nashua, New Hampshire headquarters to Lowell, Massachusetts. The relocation brings 60 high tech jobs to the Commonwealth.
Kadient, a privately funded company, made the decision to move to Massachusetts to be closer to the innovation and talent pool of the Bay State’s technology community. The company also has offices in New York, California and Chicago, with distribution partners in North America, EMEA and PacRim.
While the company has been in existence for almost 14 years, in 2007 Kadient underwent a major transformation, transitioning from selling licensed software to providing Software as a Service (SaaS) to its customers. Additionally, the company changed its offering significantly, moving from proposal automation software to a robust sales enablement solution that fully integrates with popular customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce.com and Oracle CRM On Demand.
“Kadient is not the same company it was a few years ago. We have a new offering, new energy and new talent. We have the experience of our years, but the agile mindset of start-up. We will be right at home in a state with such a large number of early-stage, venture-backed companies,” said Brian Zanghi, CEO of Kadient. “We see this move as an important milestone for the company and are excited to join the Massachusetts technology community, some of whom already extended a warm welcome to us at Governor Patrick’s recent technology roundtable. ”
“I am thrilled about Kadient’s decision to move its headquarters to the city of Lowell,” said Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. “Their presence will strengthen one of our critical regional economies as well as the state’s vital technology industry.”
Lowell is an ideal Massachusetts location for Kadient, as it will help the company retain its New Hampshire-based employees. Additionally, much like Kadient, the City of Lowell has experienced its own transformation during the past decade by infusing new life and creative energy into its downtown area. This shared story makes Lowell an even more attractive location for Kadient’s headquarters.
Kadient’s new office is located in Wannalancit Mills, a historic mill building on the Merrimack River. The building allows for an open floor plan, creating a work environment that encourages collaboration and communication.
