COMPANY: Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics
LOCATION: Deerfield, Illinois (remote candidates will also be considered)

POSITION: RFP Product Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION
This incumbent is responsible for managing all product-related needs within the Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Request For Proposal (RFP) & Request for Information (RFI) process for Corporate Accounts and Field Sales. The incumbent will be responsible for addressing the technical needs of each individual RFI / RFP, ensuring all areas relating to product specifications, characteristics, and features are met with a high degree of competence and consistency. This individual will work with the RFP Manager to determine current priorities, as well as interact with Customer Management and other resources (TAC, Second Level Support, Marketing, Service organization, etc.) and Sales to help satisfy the product-related objectives of the proposal. He or she will also support the development and maintenance of RFP re-usable content in the departmental database, with a primary focus on instrumentation and reagents. This individual will be responsible for maintaining this library, ensuring content accuracy and consistency in future RFI / RFP proposals. The individual will also be responsible for other activities within the RFP Process, including but not limited to development of proposal materials and other RFP Process administrative duties as requested.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Medical Technology degree preferred with in depth knowledge of chemistry and immunochemistry instrumentation including Advia, Immulite, and/or Dimension Familiarity with Blood Gas, Hematology, Molecular, Microbiology instrumentation also helpful. 3-5 years clinical lab experience, understanding medical technology terms and procedures. Able to represent and demonstrate our products in a technical nature. 2-3 years technical sales and/or marketing experience. Able to multitask and work under stressful and demanding conditions. Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment; flexible hours sometimes required. Strong written communication, results orientation, and organizational skills. Strong knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
