In addition to the core Express capabilities (search and browse the KB and then extract content for use in an external program), there are three ways sales people and other customer-facing professionals can create personalized documents and presentations in a manner that is completely flexible for the needs of different end-users:

  • Free-form deliverables – Allows sales professionals to build documents/presentations from a knowledge base of approved content – picking and choosing the content to be incorporated into the deliverable, and then automatically personalizing that content to build a finished document/presentation.
  • Pre-defined deliverables – Starts with a pre-defined and approved “standard” document/presentation, which users can modify by adding additional content to meet specific objectives, and then automatically personalize the content with customer-specific information.
  • Configurable deliverables – Provides active, step-by-step guidance to assist sales people and others with creating personalized documents/presentations, applying centrally developed best practices to the process of building that deliverable. This approach directs users through the process of assembling a polished personalized document/presentation, and can be especially useful for helping ramp salespeople or for organization with complex solutions.
