I recently updated three auto prompts in Knowledge Manager with some new numbers that our company released around the # of customers and # of employees. These auto prompts are set to: 'Use Default Value" and "Value is required" for String auto prompts. It seemed so easy!

I tested to be sure that the revised numbers are showing up in Express.  The record(s) that use the # of customers updated correctly, but the records that use the auto prompt for # of employees (there are 2 auto prompts that give the same information in a different way) are still using the old value. I thought it may be a browser issue, but I've even closed out and restarted the browser and it is still pulling the old numbers.

Do I need to go into Query mode, run a query for the rogue auto prompt and physically scrape it out of the record so that the revised auto prompt value is assigned to the records? I don't know why it worked for the one auto prompt and not for the other two.

Has anyone else had issues updating auto prompt values?

thanks,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

Have you gotten anywhere with this problem? I am also having a problem with auto prompts. Do you use the assembly funtion or Open & Download/Copy to Clipboard?

We were told that in order for default values to populate while using Copy to Clipboard or Open & Download (instead of the assembly function, you need to run a global update. But this isn't work for us. Is anyone have this issue?

Thanks,
Eileen
